CPD (Malta) is organising a series of Psychodynamic Workshops in collaboration with WPF (Counselling & Psychotherapy), London. The upcoming workshop is entitled “Who’s afraid of Lacan?” This will be held on Saturday 13 January 2007 at the Victoria Hotel, Sliema. The guest speaker will be Meg Errington, a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Supervisor from WPF (Counselling and Psychotherapy) London.

Jacques Lacan (1901-1981) was a French psychoanalyst, psychiatrist, and doctor. Lacan was not an analyst just like any other – he was an aristocrat, even a tyrant, possessing a theoretical mind the likes of which the psychoanalytic world had not seen since Freud. Lacan’s work has had a profound impact on the development of psychoanalysis worldwide.

This workshop is essential to understand the work of this clinician who in our view must not be dismissed out of fear.

The workshops are aimed at professionals and students in advanced stages of training in the field of psychology, counseling, psychotherapy, social work and related mental health professions.

This workshop covers 6 CPD hours.
