Before leaving Gozo for a holi-days in Scotland, I have decided to once again commend the Gozo International Celebra-tion (GIC) to all our expats and locals alike.

The Easter edition of the GIC was a heart and mind-moving event, and apparently so was the Christmas edition last year. I made it a point to stay in Gozo for this year’s Christmas edition of the GIC, and I was truly moved and very impressed.

Apart from the minor protocol mishaps, about which nobody really cares, it was a sincere and genuine effort by this village to make us “foreigners” feel at home, away from home. It was my second time in a Roman Catholic church.

There was talent of a very high standard and it was an exceptional start to my Christmas.
