The Premier League continues this afternoon with the final two matches this year, both at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in Hamrun.

In the opening match, at 12.45pm, Pieta will be facing St George’s, while in the match that follows, commencing at 2.45pm, league leaders Marsaxlokk come up against Floriana.

In the opening match, Pieta will be seeking their first win of the season against companions-in-distress St George’s.

It should be a close game in which St George’s will be trying to register their second win for a precious three points which will serve a double purpose considering that this is a direct relegation clash.

In the second match, Marsaxlokk should be considered favourites to beat Floriana who are passing through an unhappy moment at present.

The Greens need a morale-boosting performance to win some points and move up the table if they wish to avoid a Relegation Pool place in the second phase of the competition.

On their part, Marsaxlokk will be seeking to maintain the pace at the top of the standings, boosted by their return to victory in the match against Valletta last week.
