On Saturday, Valletta’s entrance, Freedom Square, will play host to three great musical bands, each with their own distinctive sound and blend of music that appeals to all ages.
Opening the live music on the Main Stage in Freedom Square will be Winter Moods. Fresh from the release of their new album Ordinary Men, the band are sure to present a set that features all their hits spanning the last 20 years including the single Lonely Vegas, which reached the top position of Bay’s Top 40 within three weeks, making Winter Moods the only local band to reach the number one position twice. Winter Moods will hit the stage at 7pm
Irish band The Commitments have played to sold-out audiences worldwide for over 10 years. This year alone, The Commitments have played to hundreds of thousands of fans at major outdoor festivals and concert venues in the USA & Europe.

The Commitments is rated 33rd of the top 100 films of all time by the British Film Industry and has been seen by over one billion people worldwide. The Commitments will play in Freedom Square at 9pm.
Closing the musical live performances at 11pm will be Malta’s favourite rock chick, Ira Losco. Already the best selling artist in Malta for three consecutive years, Ira Losco is a great success story, having released two number one albums, a string of number one singles and winning every conceivable award from “Lifetime achievement award” to “Woman of the year 2006.” She has won a total of 22 awards, the most recent being “Best solo artist” and “Best single” at this year’s BMAS.
Undoubtedly, Ira Losco has developed into a complete artist with a powerful and distinct voice, a great live performer, songwriter and musician with great sex appeal and charisma.
Ira Losco and her band will be giving an electrifying performance at this year’s Notte Magica, performing all her number one hits and many other songs from all her albums. This is a night not to be missed!
