Czech Republic goalkeeper David Simon will not be joining Birkirkara till the end of the season.

Simon, who guarded Birkirkara’s posts when the team won the title last season, was here recently, but failed to reach an agreement with the Stripes.

Meanwhile club chairman Victor Zammit confirmed that Polish goalie Andrej Bledzewski, who at present is injured, will stay on till the end of the season.

And Zammit also confirmed that Etienne Barbara will be going nowhere despite rumours that he is to leave the club, either towards Sliema or towards Marsaxlokk.

Zammit reiterated that no club had made an offer. But he did not exclude the possibility of a Barbara move to that club which makes the right offer.
