A seven-year-old girl who was left in a critical condition after a tragic accident took place at her home in Swieqi on New Year’s eve is now in a stable condition.

The incident took place at about 3.15pm when the girl’s father was working on his car inside a garage. The vehicle is understood to have rolled back, hitting the girl and crushing her pelvis. She was immediately rushed to St Luke’s hospital where doctors certified that she was in a critical condition. Duty magistrate Joe Cassar appointed a team of experts to investigate.
