Outgoing Archbishop Joseph Mercieca will celebrate the Thanksgiving Mass for his years of service on Thursday, 18 January at St John’s co-Cathedral at 6.30pm.

It had originally been intended to hold the Mass on 19 January, but Archbishop Mercieca will be in Rome that day.

The organising committee said there will be more seating in the co-Cathedral than usual and there will also be a number of monitors and big screens outside the Cathedral for those who want to attend the Mass but for whom there is no space.

It said that no invitations would be issued for the Mass.
