The Association of Surgeons of Malta recently organised a course on Medical Statistics and Critical Appraisal of the Literature. The course was heavily over-subscribed and the association has decided to run a further two parallel courses.

The course aims to enable individuals to develop the skills to find and make sense of research evidence, helping them to put knowledge into practice. 12 CME points will be awarded at the end of the course. The courses will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2.30pm from March to June and lectures will be delivered by Dr Neville Calleja, MD MSc (Lon) MSc (Malta) DLSHTM, GradStat.

This initiative is supported by the European Social Fund of the European Union.

Further details are available from Mr Simon Bugeja ([email protected]) and Mr John Sciberras ([email protected]) or Mr Gordon Caruana-Dingli, president of the Association of Surgeons of Malta.
