The walls of the theatre at the Catholic Institute, Floriana are bound to hear more laughter as there will be three extra shows of the Pantomime Aladdin u t-tifla tal-Granmastru. The extra performances will be held on Saturday 13 January at 7pm and on Sunday 14 January at 2pm and 6.30pm.
In this Panto written by Jose’ Micallef, Hector Bruno, as usual, plays the dame while Ronald Briffa plays the part of Aladdin.
The script is loosely based on the Disney story of Aladdin with Jasmine being held under the protective wings of her father, the Grandmaster. Aladdin, a market hawker sweeps her off her feet after her relationship with Richard of Brussels ends because he is obsessed with work while she wants him to devote more time to her. But Gafar has other plans and wants to become Grandmaster himself....that’s enough about the story. Tickets are available from the Catholic Institute’s booking office daily from 9am to 1pm and 4.30 to 8pm daily.
