ESCMALTA.com, in collaboration with the Maltasong board, treated visitors to a surprise on New Year’s day. Visitors to the website can now download and listen to a one minute clip of all the 16 semi-finalists of the Malta Song For Europe festival 2007. This makes ESCMALTA.com the first local medium to make all 16 songs available to the public.

When listening to the songs, visitors are also encouraged to give their opinion about this year’s festival in the reaction sections under each article and also in the on-line Forum.

The website, founded two years ago during the 2005 Malta Song festival, has today grown to become Malta’s leading Eurovision website. The hard work done by the group of volunteers who work round the clock to ensure the publishing of all the latest news from the 42 participating countries, has made the website the leading source for Eurovision news for various media organisations.

This year, ESCMALTA.com has also strengthened its ties with NET TV’s Eurovision programme Lejn il-Eurovision. Besides being one of the main partners of the programme, ESCMALTA.com’s own news manager, Cyrus Engerer, is also part of the production team of the weekly programme produced by Frederick Zammit. Lejn il-Eurovision will go on air as from this Friday at 8:30pm.

In the next months, all the 42 countries participating in the 52nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will choose their song in

different ways.

ESCMALTA.com will be covering all these song selections with particular emphasis on the Maltese selection.
