The Miles Express player of the month award for December 2006 was won by Sliema Wanderers playmaker Omar Said.

During that month Sliema reached the semi-finals of the Bank of Valletta Knock Out amongst other matches.

Said contributed to these good results by scoring 64 points including four three pointers. Said is one of the top steals men for Sliema with an average of 2.90 steals per game.

He’s also in the fifth place of the top assists men in the league with an average of 3.30 assists per game and a total of 33 assists so far. He also features an average of 5.2 rebounds per game.

The award was presented last Sunday at Ta’ Qali by Mr Martin Ferry director of Miles Express Limited.
