That we are a very generous people is an accepted truth. The fact that even members of the opposition agree with all the rest of us speaks volumes.

But when we say that we are generous we are declaring only half the truth.

Because being of a generous nature is one thing and showing your generosity in a practical way is another. The first half of the truth is that we are very generous and the second half of the truth is that we can afford to be generous and we can prove it. And how!
