Operetta Evening (Serata all'Operetta) will be held on Saturday 27 January at 7.30pm in the Culture Performance Hall of the Società Filarmonica Sliema.

This second edition of Operetta Evening being held by general request is coordinated by Joe Fenech with a revised programme of selections. Popular tunes will be interpreted by singers Joe Aquilina; Karen Camilleri; Louiselle Pace Gouder; Claire Caruana; Connie Francis Zerafa; Joe Huber. Comedians George Micallef and Diane Micallef will perform the famous duet from Cin-Ci-La'. Cynthia Genovese will accompany them at the piano.

Other selections from the operettas La Vedova Allegra, Il Paese del Sorriso, Il Conte di Lussemburgo and La Danza delle Libellule by Franz Lehar; Les Contes d'Hoffman by Jacques Offenbach; Eine Nacht in Venedig by Johann Strauss; L'Acqua Cheta by Giuseppe Petri; The Belles of New York by Gustaf Kerker; Vittoria e il suo Ussaro by Paul Abraham and, by general request, other songs from the Maltese operetta It-Twajba Suzanna by Jean Gilbert, will be performed.
