A symbolic celebration at the King George V Playing Field in Floriana yesterday commemorated the seventh anniversary of the death of Riccardo Cesare, the elderly man who was buried under the rubble of his house when the badly dilapidated house collapsed after a storm.
Speaking at a tree planting ceremony, MP Stefan Buontempo said that seven years on, no one has yet been held responsible for that death and there are still more Maltese living in bad housing conditions, as bad as the tenement house that collapsed on Mr Cesare.
