Customs officials have intercepted a container-load of canned soft drinks which are prohibited in Malta, as well as a quantity of wine on which Value Added Tax still has to be paid.
In a statement, customs officials said the container, which arrived in Malta from another European Union member state, contained a number of pellets of canned soft drinks and the wine.
The customs department intercepted these products and is investigating.
