The hallowed walls of the Manoel Theatre will soon be resounding with the music of the World Wind Band, which on 23 January will be combining the traditional with the contemporary in a programme dedicated to wind music from all over the world.
It will give you the chance to witness instruments from all over the world, including Asia minor, the Middle East and Africa. The band, made up of founders Jan Hendrickse and Dirk Campbell, together with Nathan Thompson and Babatunde Joel Jegede, creates music which explores the origins and cultures behind wind music from all over the globe, while giving it a contemporary edge.
