I am a Maltese Missionary Sister of Our Lady of Africa living in Algeria. A beautiful surprise this Christmas season has been a cheque from the Mission Fund in Malta to help us in our work with handicapped children. Indeed, our communities living in the Sahara desert welcome these children in our homes in order them to patiently teach them enough to earn some money for their living. We teach some of the girls how to embroider and some of the boys are able to assist a carpenter or a builder. It’s amazing how some come unable to walk and finally are able to hobble about. We meet the very young ones in their homes so as to teach the mother the massage care she has to give daily so as to help her child.
The money you sent us will be used to buy more adequate material to be able to help these children better. I would therefore like to encourage you to continue sending used stamps, used telecards and donations to the Mission Fund at 72/2 St Joseph’s Flats, Triq il-Farinal, Mosta MST 07 and thus continue to support the work we do in your name. May the Lord bless you throughout the year.
Yours in Christ.
