Foreign Affairs Minister Michael Frendo was recently on a short visit to Italy where he was invited to give a speech at the University of Malta Link Campus in Rome. Dr Frendo spoke about Malta’s initiative in the EU Foreign Ministers Conference and the Arab League.

Minister Frendo took the opportunity to visit the President of Italian Senate Franco Marini at Palazzo Giustiniani and later on, addressed a press conference in the Italian Foreign Affairs Circle, with several members of the Italian press present.

Dr Frendo was accompanied by the Maltese ambassador in Italy Walter Balzan.
