The Armed Forces of Malta was last night questioning at least one man after a speedboat was intercepted off St Paul’s Bay and escorted to land in suspicious circumstances.
The reasons behind the AFM’s action were still unknown last night, but TVM reported that the investigation could be linked to illegal substances. The speedboat was intercepted off the north of Malta early yesterday evening and was escorted by an AFM patrol boat and a helicopter to land at St Paul’s Bay.
The person or persons who were being questioned by the AFM were late last night turned over to the police for further investigations.
