The HSBC anniversary football tournament, held at the St Aloysius College grounds, was won by the Southern Area for the second consecutive year.

The Southern Area team clinched convincing wins in all their group stage encounters and then emerged winners in the final against the Hexagon House/Head Office Valletta team.

The event proved to be yet another success for HSBC, with around 100 HSBC staff members forming six male teams and two female teams, taking part in this keenly contested annual tournament. Trophies and medals were presented to the winners by HSBC Bank Malta Chief Operating Officer Sally Robson, during a small reception held at the end of the tournament.

“It is good to see some healthy competition amongst staff, and this tournament proved to be another successful event where everyone involved had great fun!” said Mrs Robson.
