The controversial comedy by Niccolo Machiavelli L-Impotenti (La Mandragola) is the first play of the season by Talenti Theatrical Company. This play was first presented in Malta nine years ago by Talenti to great critical acclaim.

This is a Maltese translation by Zep Camilleri who will also be directing the play.

With colourful period costumes by May Vassallo and original music composed by Vince Fabri, this comedy is bound to provide an entertaining evening to theatre-goers. The plot revolves around a lawyer named Nicia, a simple but precise man who is married to a much younger woman, Lucrezia. They are childless because Nicia is impotent. However, he wishes to have children so badly that he is willing to let his wife sleep with another man so that she can bear a child whom he will father. How will everyone react to this unusual proposal? Find out on 27 and 28 January when L-Impotenti will be presented at the Manoel Theatre.
