The world of employment today awards those youths who show initiative, creativity and entrepreneurial mentality, which Scoops aims to enhance in secondary schools, Education Minister Louis Galea said yesterday.
He was speaking at an activity organised by Scoops at the Workers’ Memorial Building in Valletta.
The activity, Vetrina Scoops, encourages students and teachers to meet each other through a series of workshops and educational presentations. This year’s theme is “Scoops – students with initiative and creativity”.
Dr Galea said that initiatives such as Scoops and Young Enterprise give students the opportunity to experience different models of enterprises. He encouraged the students to take these opportunities seriously as they will serve them well when they are later employed.
