Students attending courses at the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce will be exhibiting their works during the annual exhibition to be held between 24 and 30 January at the Society’s premises at Palazzo De La Salle, Republic Street, Valletta.

Visitors are welcome to view the variety and high quality of work on display.

The work exhibited includes detailed work in ganuttel, monastery, filigree, embroidery and embroidery in gold. The latter includes the emblem of the Society painstakingly embroidered by student Marie Louise Bajada.

Furthermore, works in beading, cottage craft, malta lace, glass painting, and parchment craft can be admired. Soft furnishing work needlwork and tailoring can also be seen.

Bridal bouquets made by students will be on display as will woodcarving works, stone sculptures, papier mâché and cribs made by students.

Art students will also be exhibiting a number of their works painted in various media. Various arts and crafts by the younger students of the Society will also be on display.

The exhibition will be open between 10am and 1pm and 4.30 and 7pm on weekdays and between 9.30 and 11.30am on Saturdays. Entrance is free.
