Malta Independent Monday, 22 January 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The Mental Health Association invites all family members and carers of people suffering from mental health problems to attend 13 lectures on mental illness.

The sessions are built on Ken Alexander’s model, a professional who has worked in support work for families for the past 20 years. The model is used all over Europe and aims to empower and educate families about mental illness.

The sessions will be held every Friday starting from 26 January at 6.30pm at Robert Sammut Hall, Floriana.

Registration will take place on Friday 26 January at 6pm.

Family members attending the course will be charged a Lm5 fee and health professionals and careworkers will be charged a Lm10 fee. Certificates of attendance will be issued after completion of the course.
