A 31-year-old man from Qormi was remanded in custody yesterday morning after he was charged with drug possession and with having committed an offence during the operative period of a suspended sentence.
Owen Zammit pleaded not guilty to possessing heroin on Friday and the Court of Magistrates yesterday denied his request for bail.
He was remanded in custody.
Magistrate Michael Mallia presided over the court.
