The police managed to hold one of two men who had allegedly robbed a residence in Mosta early yesterday morning.

The police said they were informed that the door of a residence in Triq it-Torri was open and that it could have been the case that there was someone inside.

When they were walking towards the residence, the police saw two men leaving the place.

They both ran off upon seeing the officers. The police chased the two men and are holding one of them for further investigation.

The police found that the owner of the residence was not there at the time the theft took place.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
