Zoltan Voros, a volunteer with the Clown Theatre Foundation of Hungary, recently entertained children in the paediatric wards of St Luke’s Hospital

The Clown Theatre Foundation (CTF) is a philanthropic organisation that was set up in 1996 in Budapest, Hungary.

The clowns attend one medical unit per week and their members are all volunteers.

The children were given presents that were bought from funds originating from sponsors’ donations and gifts.

Mr Voros and another colleague came all the way from Hungary at the invitation of the Malta Feline Guardians Club (MFGC) to entertain all the kids present during the cat show that was held in the first week of December. However, it was also their wish to entertain children in hospitals during their stay here in Malta and the volunteers spent a total of four hours at Disneyland, Fairyland and Wonderland wards.

Zoli the Clown provided all the children with two or more gifts made from balloons which he created in front of his young audience.

Another two busy hours helped distract and brighten the evening of the children of the Young People’s Unit in Attard.

The Daniel Delicata Memorial Association thanked the members of CTF and MFGC for collaborating with them during the festive season that just passed and living up to their motto of “improving the quality of life of sick children in hospitals”.
