A Valletta man was yesterday granted bail after he pleaded not guilty to stealing cash and other items from a house in Mosta.
Appearing before Magistrate Antonio Mizzi, Costantino Gouder, 25, was charged with committing a theft from a home in Mosta on Sunday at around 6.15am, to the detriment of Teresa and Maria Schembri. He was also charged with damaging the door of the same residence.
Another person was involved in the robbery, but the police are still interrogating him and will arraign him in due course.
The accused was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm10,000.
Police Inspectors Geoffrey Azzopardi and Therese Sciberras are prosecuting, while Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for the accused.
