Malta’s Alex Borg will be playing his qualifying first round match for the China Open today at Pontin’s Prestatyn.

He will be meeting Paul Davison with the winner moving into tomorrow’s second round for a tie against Jamie Burnett.

Tony Drago starts his commitments tomorrow in the second round. He will be meeting the winner of today’s match between Lee Spick and Jeff Cundy.

This is the final qualifying round of a tournament before Drago travels home where he plays his qualifying match or matches for the Malta Cup tournament starting next Sunday at the Portomaso Conference Centre.
