Dr Ray Bondin is for the eighth consecutive year attending the World Heritage Panel whose task is to study the nomination dossiers for the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Dr Bondin is representing ICOMOS, the International Council on Monuments and Sites, which acts as consultant to UNESCO on world heritage matters. The World Heritage Panel, meeting in Paris, is studying the 33 dossiers which will be decided upon by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in June.

The panel is formed of members of the ICOMOS Executive Committee, of which Ray Bondin is a member, and experts in specific heritage typologies. The work of the panel is part of the process of evaluation of the nominated dossiers. The UNESCO World Heritage Committee then discusses the presentations that are made by UNESCO after the decision taken by the panel.
