The first half of the match saw La Salle establishing a three-point lead within the first four minutes of play, after which they conceded their first goal. Kavallieri’s tactical efforts to take the lead remained unsuccessful during this period as La Salle maintained and steadily increased the point difference to end the first half on a score of 10-18.
Kavallieri’s refreshed determination at the start of the second half is evident as they successfully delayed La Salle’s attacks, with Andrew Said scoring the only two goals for his team during the first nine minutes of this half.
With the score 17-20, La Salle regained their footing and fought back against Kavallieri in what became a more aggressive second-half.
Despite Kavallieri’s efforts to even the score with goals predominantly from Daniel Tabone and Roberto Ragonesi, at the final whistle, La Salle still led by four points with the final result 30-26 in their favour.
