The Head of Secretariat of the Investments and Information Technology Ministry, Claudio Grech yesterday filed a libel suit against One News editor Miriam Dalli over a news item on the tender for an Integrated Health Information System at Mater Dei Hospital.

Mr Grech filed the libel suit over a news item which the Labour Party’s television station broadcast on the embezzlement case revolving around the tendering process for this system for the new hospital.

In his libel suit, Mr Grech complained that during the news bulletin on Sunday, the station broadcast footage of him while the journalist was referring to the person who was being investigated by the police.

He called on the court to order the station to pay him damages.
