The Maltese Embassy in Cairo, in cooperation with the Bank of Valletta Representative Office in Cairo, has invited Maltese violinist Carmine Lauri to perform at the Cairo Opera House in Cairo on Wednesday 7 February.

Lauri forms part of the London Symphony Orchestra of which he is co-leader. He also leads and performs regularly with the World Orchestra for Peace under Valery Gergiev.

Mro Lauri will be accompanied during the Cairo performance by pianist Simon Hester.

The programme will comprise excerpts from Mozart, Brahms and Debussy.
