The Armed Forces of Malta detained three young men during two separate vehicle check points in Malta and Gozo.

On Sunday night, a vehicle check point (VCP) held in the south of Malta by the 1st Regiment’s “C” (Special Duties) Company yielded cannabis and cannabis resin and one Maltese and a French national were detained.

In Victoria, members of the AFM’s Qortin Base in Nadur detained a 23-year old man from Xewkija, who was also found with suspected illegal substances in his possession.

In both cases, the youths and the drugs were handed over to the police for further investigation.
