The Malta Red Cross – First Malta Branch is organising an Emergency Response Foundation Course. The course consists of modules in basic first aid, basic fire fighting and rescue awareness. Sessions will be spread over 10 weeks held on Saturday afternoons between 2pm and 6pm, starting on 17 February.

The course will consist of both theoretical and practical sessions which will be held at the branch’s Disaster Response Station in Zurrieq and at the lecture centre in Delimara.

The course fee is Lm20 which will be refunded to those participants who give 40 hours of voluntary service with the branch during 2007. As the number of persons who can take part in the course is limited, acceptance is on a first-come first-served basis. Applicants must be over 16.
