A number of cars belonging to teachers and caretakers working at Zabbar B primary school, which were parked outside the school premises, were vandalised during the past two weeks.

According to sources, at least eight cars belonging to teachers and caretakers working in the government school were found scratched, vandalised and with punctured tyres.

Furthermore, some of these also had their windows broken and car stereos stolen.

The cars were parked in Thomas Dingli Street and around the school’s playing field. The police are investigating with the help of the forensic unit. The school authorities have asked for more surveillance around the area. Malta Union of Teachers (MUT) president John Bencini confirmed that these incidents have taken place and said he is very worried about the situation.
