The National Student Travel Foundation (NSTF) Science Week has become a point of reference for every Maltese student on the island. With over 900 students visiting last year’s activity daily, the NSTF Science Week is definitely one of the most popular educational activities on these islands. The fun, hands-on approach which the foundation has taken towards education has played a key-role in attracting the ever-growing number of participants. NSTF announced that they are receiving applications for the NSTF Science Art contest, the NSTF Malta Student Science Forum and the NSTF Contest for Young Scientists which will be held at the end of March. These activities together with the NSTF School Contest for Young Scientists are part of the activities which come together during Science Week. Their aim is to bring science not only to students of all ages and levels but also to the general public.

In addition to these four main events, NSTF organises a series of talks and shows on a number of science-related topics which are usually animated by both specialised animateurs and people in the know. During the 2006 edition of NSTF Science Week specialists from as diverse fields as health promotion, butterflies and flora and fauna entertained and interacted with the visitors.

NSTF Science Week is now at its seventh edition and we at NSTF are proud of our achievements over these years.”
