Reference is made to the article “Malta may miss out on EU funding for temples’ protective cover” (TMIS, 28 January).

The article refers to a tender adjudication process that is underway. At this point, Heritage Malta does not consider it opportune nor ethical to disclose any details during the selection process.

However in view of the allegations made, Heritage Malta would like to put to rest any doubts that Malta might lose the EU funds dedicated to this project for the reasons stated in the article.
