This evening’s Net TV programme Replay will be showing highlights of films taken in Coventry the past few days after Malta striker Michael Mifsud joined the English Championship side.

During those days, co-presenter Christian Micallef had the opportunity of meeting Mifsud and his manager at Coventry Heath.

The principal subject of the programme, however, will be the national team’s match against Austria 50 years ago, the first international played by Malta.

Among the guests taking part in the programme will be Publius Demanuele, Joe Cilia, Joe Cini, Tony Cauchi, Sammy Nicholl, Salvinu Schembri, Victor Scerri, Salvu Bonnici, Lolly Debattista and Lolly Borg. Also among the guests will be relatives of the players who took part in that historic match and who have continued the tradition some of them still active today.

The programme will be presented by Robert Cutajar and Christian Micallef. Jeremy Dalli is the director.
