Maltese youngster Matthew Asciak, partnered by Alex Bull, lost the final of the doubles tournament in Zurich as they lost to the French couple of Herbert and Sichez.

Matthew Asciak and Alex Bull were the No.2 seeds of the tournament.

In the first round Asciak/Bull bt Giacalone/Nicolletti ( Italy) 6-1 7-6; and then beat Grigelis (Lithuania) and Dimofte (Romania) 6-3 6-4 in the second round.

In the semi-finals, they eliminated Kontinen (Finland) and Strunnikov (Russia) 6-3 6-7 6-4.

In the singles event, Asciak was the No.1 seed. He beat Devos of Belgium in the first round 6-3 6-1, but then lost to Grigelis of Lithuania in the second round 4-6 2-6.
