An embroidery student at the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, Gozitan Marie Louise Bajada, presented the embroidered emblem of the Society to the President of the Society, Paul Asciak, at a ceremony held during the Society’s annual prize day at Palazzo De La Salle, Valletta.

The emblem, which is embroidered in embroidery threads, including gold, is 45 cm by 45 cm large, took Ms Bajada 300 hours to complete and is a veritable work of art in its own right. The work was supervised by Salvina Grech, Ms Bajada’s embroidery teacher at the Society.
