The Table Tennis Academy is proud to boast of a very successful Year 2006 for the students and school in general. The Academy students have achieved a substantial amount of good results in the local tournaments as a result of the learning opportunities offered to them at the Academy. This was all fruit of the consistent tutoring and regular competition opportunities offered at the Academy.

The Academy strives to recognise and promote improvements and dedication among its students.

This was the drive behind the Annual Award Ceremony during which various honours were awarded to those students who excelled in various areas among which were Most Dedicated Player, Best Improved Player and Star Of The Future Awards.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Sports Experience Special Award that was given to William Camilleri in recognition of his dedication to the Academy, improved technical play, disciplined behaviour and all-round cooperative attitude towards his fellow students and towards the coaching team.

The start of 2007 looks promising too with an increase in the student base and an appropriate increase in the coaching timetable. All details of the coaching schedule and calendar of events can be viewed on www.tabletennisacademy.com.

This season, apart from the regular coaching sessions, the Academy is holding five ranking tournaments as a build-up to the Malta national championships. Table tennis enthusiasts have the opportunity to benefit from the match experience and tutoring in order to excel in their performance at the new Academy headquarters at the Civil Service Sports Club in Valletta.
