An employee was slightly injured when two thieves attacked him and made off with the cash and cheques he was carrying in Qormi yesterday.

The police said the man had left the office to deposit the money and as he was getting into his car, the two thieves approached him.

The employee was slightly injured in the scuffle and was later treated for his injuries at St Luke’s Hospital.

The thieves escaped in a car with two accomplices.
