More incentives and measures are need so that the self-employed can see a future for that sector, Labour leader Alfred Sant said yesterday.
Speaking during a visit to the commercial centre in Attard, Dr Sant said the centre was still in its infancy but there was room for further development.
He said that the self-employed played an important role in the economy and that is why Labour felt the need to understand the sector’s problems.
Dr Sant said the party was proposing a number of initiatives and measures directed at the self-employed in its vision document.
