In order to highlight the dangers of global warming and climate change and to increase awareness among the public, the HSBC Cares For The Environment Fund in collaboration with Embassy Cinema Complex, KRS Film Distributors and Paramount Pictures, are supporting the screening of the film An Inconvenient Truth, a documentary on global warming’s deadly progress, featuring former United States vice-president Al Gore.

An Inconvenient Truth offers a passionate and inspirational look at the problems our planet is faced with and attempts to clarify the myths and misconceptions that surround the global warming issues and to suggest actions that we can and should all take.

“We can not afford to ignore the pressing challenges of global warming,” said Chairman of HSBC Bank Malta plc, Albert Mizzi.

“The evidence is there to see and there is still time to make a difference. At HSBC, we have taken the initiative to screen this provocative documentary in the hope that decision-makers and the public are stimulated into individual action, that collectively will make a small but significant contribution to fight this ecological problem,” he continued.

An Inconvenient Truth is presented by Paramount Classics and Participant Productions is directed by Davis Guggenheim and produced by Laurie David, Lawrence Bender and Scott Z. Burns.
