Local extreme metal heavyweights Slit have left for France on their first leg of European dates which includes Switzerland. Slit will be hitting the stage in Paris, Marseilles, Poitier, Nice and Geneva with their latest album Ode To Silence released worldwide by Anticulture Records in September 2006. This mini tour comes for Slit together with the positive press coverage received in France, winning them the crown of “The next big thing” on the prestigious Hard'n'Heavy magazine.

Slit will return to France in June to take part in the Hellfest open air festival which last year had an attendance of over 30,000 and includes some of the biggest names in the extreme music scene such as Cannibal Corpse, Hatebreed, Mayhem, Immortal and Atheist

After returning from this tour, Slit are scheduled to share the stage with Thy Legion on Friday at Poxxbar Paceville
