One success after another has proudly led the Helping Hands Group to celebrate its 10th anniversary of annual musicals. The Helping Hands Group – a non-profit organisation of teachers/students and ex-students from M.A. Refalo Post-Secondary School Victoria Gozo have excelled year after year with a number of musicals namely Jesus Christ Superstar (1997), Les Miserables (highlights – 1998), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1999), The Best of Musicals (2001), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2003), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Malta Premier 2004), A Night with the Musicals (2005) and last but definitely not least LesMisSaigonGuerre (2006) staged both in Gozo and later in Malta (July 2006) at the Malta Hilton.

This year, The Helping Hands Group has something special in store in commemoration of this anniversary. A spectacular rendering of one of the most popular musicals of all time Jesus Christ Superstar.

This show will be staged at the Oratory Don Bosco, Victoria Gozo on 25 and 31 March.

This musical spectacle is one that definitely should not be missed. A live orchestra playing authentic West End arrangements will be directed by Mro. Joseph Grech. This orchestra will be complimented by a large number of actors, singers, choristers and stage crew including The Helping Hands Group Chorus. A well known cast of singers will assure an unforgettable evening.

A celebrity cast includes Ludwig Galea, Pamela Bezzina, Roger Tirazona, Kevin Galea, Noel Galea, J.Anvil, Neville Refalo, Mario Portelli and Fabian Galea and many, many

others.

For the above production, rights have been granted from The Really Useful and Group – London and PRS. Authentic West End London Orchestra Arrangements have been hired for this

production.

All profits are to be donated to Dar tal-Providenza.

Such an incredible kaleidoscope of music, entertainment and talent is one not to be missed for it is assured to leave an imprint in your minds and hearts forever.

It is no coincidence the group decided to stage this musical. In fact it was the first musical the group ever produced that kick-started 10 years of a string of successes establishing itself in the local musical scene as one of the major producers of spectacular events in Gozo and last year even in Malta.
