A woman was yesterday rushed to St Luke's Hospital in critical condition after she was hit by a car in Hamrun, the police said.
The accident happened at 7pm in St Joseph High Road. The police said that the woman, whose age and place of residence were not given, was crossing the road when she was hit by a car driven by a 65-year-old from Santa Lucia.
Magistrate Antonio Mizzi appointed several experts to help in the inquiry. The police are investigating.
