Prospective water polo coaches have been encouraged to attend the Foundation Course in coaching organised by The Institute for P.E and Sport of the University of Malta

The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, in collaboration with Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport, will now be organising the Technical and Tactical part of Water Polo Coaches’ Course. Mr Marco Birri, an Italian instructor, has been invited to conduct the course which is being held between 1 and 4 March.

The ASA will also be organising a seminar re the Rules of the Game and other procedures which are adopted during and after the game of water polo.

All candidates who have successful participated in the Foundation Course orgainised by The Institute for P.E and Sport of the University of Malta, and those who have successful participated in the Technical & Tactical part of Water Polo Coaches’ Course will be issued with a “B” Class Water Polo Coaching Licence.

The ASA reminds all interested persons that as from the coming water polo season, only those in possession of the Water Polo Coaches License will be allowed to assist teams during all water polo competitions organised by the association.

Those Water Polo coaches already engaged with clubs may, if they wish, apply individually or through their respective clubs.

The ASA informs all those persons who intend to achieve a licence as a swimming coach that a similar specialisation course will be held shortly.
