The Professionals, Finances and Services section of the General Workers’ Union has registered an industrial dispute with Bank of Valletta and asked for a conciliation meeting.

The union said the dispute was registered after the bank failed to give joint recognition as requested by the GWU. The union said the bank, instead of verifying the membership levels of its employees with the unions that represented them, took into consideration only the declaration made by the Malta Union of Bank Employees.
